My research interests include human-computer interaction, education, and healthcare.
Former research contributions:
2016-2023: Accessibility & Technology: In both my bachelor's and master's theses, I investigate accessibility, inclusion, and friendship between individuals with various abilities, needs, backgrounds, and communication methods.
2021, 2022: Department of Ophthalmology, UC San Francisco: This confidential study with Dr. Yin Han involved working with sensors and electronics to evaluate the effectiveness of medical and pharmaceutical tools for patients with glaucoma.
2020, 2021: Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology: Working under the supervision of Professor Ikhlaq Sidhu, I contributed to course content on data science and machine learning topics at Data-X. In addition, I contributed to research projects investigating data, creativity, and innovation.
2019, 2020: Non-Orientable Manifold Editor (NOME), Berkeley Engineering: Working with Professor Carlo H. Séquin, I utilized various CAD tools (Fusion 360, Solidworks, Rhino, Blender) to study the creation of mathematical knots and geometric sculptures. Specifically, I explored the use of sweep-morph constructions to construct 2-manifold, free-form, and symmetrical mathematical knots.
2019, 2020: Hybrid Ecologies Lab, Berkeley Engineering: In collaboration with Professor Eric Paulos and two Ph.D. students, I contributed to "Creative Practices". Please read the lab's papers here (2018, 2022). My work involved the synthesizing of themes from documentation practices to eventually produce a digital tool for creative practitioners.
2015, 2016 Early Childhood Education, The City of Irvine: The objective of this study was threefold. First, I evaluated Irvine's education system with organizations such as the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD), Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), and Montessori Education. Second, I analyzed and categorized statistical data. Finally, I authored two research papers for the City of Irvine and presented my findings at city council meetings.
